To preserve and to share the extensive and unparalleled development of Springfield, the oldest suburb of Jacksonville, Florida, from its inception in the mid-1800's through its years of growth and modification.

Our Vision: 
Springfield has prevailed through a century of challenges, enduring as a treasured home and neighborhood, and continues to unfold and to grow with fresh new ideas as it honors its illustrious history.  Springfield has and still does produce far-reaching  social and civic leaders and citywide advances, while retaining and building its neighborhood pride, character and unique stature in a growing city.  It is our goal to illuminate the value of the past by sharing memories of Springfield, Jacksonville’s only designated Historic District.
